A couple of weeks ago, I helped out the narrow gauge modellers at Tonbridge MRC by lending a hand operating their layout Wittenden. (and as it turned out, fixing a few gremlins along the way!)
A brief walk round the show before opening time confirmed that Uckfield still warrants it’s status as about the best show in the South East for modellers, with all layouts on show being at the top of their game…
I grabbed some photos on my main walk round in the afternoon, after the Saturday morning crowds, which lasted until about 15.00, had receeded, showing some of the layouts that particularly caught my eye – regrettably I don’t have a program so am missing a few names!
As a footnote, I would like to say a big thank you to both Adrian Colenutt and the rest of UCKFIELD MRC for putting on another great show, and allowing me the chance to exhibit for what has now been the third year running (with different layouts!). If you get the chance to exhibit at e show, I would thoroughly recommend it as you will be very well looked after by the organisers, and the banofee pie at lunchtime is great! If you haven’t been as a visitor, it is well worth a journey into deepest East Sussex for, no matter where you are travelling from.
