The previous two weekends have seen me visit two local shows, which I think goes some way to showing the sheer number of exhibitions there now are, especially at this time of year… The last weekend of January saw the Canterbury show take place – photos from that will follow soon (once I get them off my old phone) while the first weekend of February saw the Erith show taking place in Longfield.
To be honest, despite a large number of layouts being present at Longfield, there wasn’t a huge amount caught my eye – Tonbridge West Yard was nice, but I’ve seen it numerous times before, and it was in a poorly lit corner so I didn’t bother with photos. The only other two I lingered at were Galatia, KS and Brixcombe, the former a rendition of a 90’s shortline serving the agricultural industry in Kansas, the latter a GWR terminus in the West Country. In particular, I found the weathering of the stock on Galatia exceptionally convincing. I’ll let the photos do the talking!
